Refunds, Cancellations & Complaints Policy — Ramsbothams Florist
Last updated: August 2026
At Ramsbothams Florist, we want you to be happy with your flowers. Because flowers and plants are natural, perishable products, our refund policy is different from that for ordinary non-perishable goods.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
1. Cancelling an Order
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order.
For standard flower orders, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice before delivery or collection.
Where you cancel an order, we may deduct reasonable costs that we have already incurred as a direct result of the cancellation. This may include payment-processing fees, flowers or materials already purchased, preparation costs or other reasonable costs directly related to your order.
We will not charge more than is reasonably necessary to cover our direct loss.
Funeral Orders
Funeral flowers are often prepared specifically for a particular service.
Where flowers, materials, preparation, consultation or delivery arrangements have already been made, reasonable cancellation costs may apply.
Wedding Orders
Wedding flowers are bespoke and often require advance planning and specially ordered flowers and materials.
Where costs have already been incurred, reasonable cancellation costs may apply.
Any cancellation terms or costs will be explained when the wedding order is confirmed.
2. Fresh Flowers & Plants
Fresh flowers and plants are perishable products and cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind after they have been supplied.
The natural vase life varies depending on the flower variety, season, temperature, environment and care.
We do not guarantee that flowers will remain fresh for a specific number of days.
3. Flower Care & Hot Weather
Please follow the flower-care instructions supplied with your order.
During warm or particularly hot weather, flowers may deteriorate more quickly.
Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, radiators, heating, conservatories and other hot areas, and ensure they have sufficient fresh water.
Where flowers deteriorate because of unsuitable care or environmental conditions, a refund or replacement may not be appropriate. This does not affect your statutory rights.
4. Problems With Your Flowers
If you believe there is a problem with the quality of your flowers, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 2 working days of delivery or collection.
Please send photographs where possible.
We may consider:
- The type of flowers supplied
- Their natural vase life
- Their condition when delivered or collected
- The time since delivery or collection
- The care provided
- The temperature and environment in which they have been kept
If we determine that there is a genuine quality issue for which we are responsible, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, refund or credit.
5. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item or is significantly different from what was agreed, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide photographs where appropriate so we can investigate the issue.
Where we are responsible, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
6. Refunds
Where a refund is agreed, it will normally be made using the original payment method.
The time taken for the refund to appear in your account can depend on your bank or payment provider.
If you believe you are due a refund and have not received it, please contact:
